IPVALUE Appoints John Lindgren as President and Chief Executive Officer
August 24, 2017 - IPVALUE Management, a global leader in corporate licensing and patent monetization today announced the appointment of John Lindgren, a distinguished executive with experience at growing intellectual property monetization businesses, as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lindgren will also join the company’s board of directors.
Rob Amen, a Managing Director at Vector Capital and member of IPVALUE’s board of directors said, “John is a seasoned executive with unparalleled strategic experience in the intellectual property marketplace. Prior to IPVALUE, Mr. Lindgren was the President and CEO of Conversant Intellectual Property Management, where he grew the company to become one of the most highly-regarded patent monetization platforms in the industry. Earlier, Mr. Lindgren enjoyed a 20 year career with Texas Instruments Incorporated focused on intellectual property enforcement. Mr. Lindgren holds a JD from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was editor-in-chief of the SMU Law Review. He earned an MSEE from Southern Methodist University School of Engineering and Applied Science, and a BSEE from Duke University School of Engineering. Mr. Lindgren is a member of the Texas, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the US Patent and Trademark bars.

Mr. Lindgren succeeds Murali Dharan who had been the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 2007 and who facilitated IPVALUE’s acquisition by Vector Capital in 2014. Mr. Dharan will continue to serve on IPVALUE’s board of directors and will assist with the leadership transition.
